Middle School Athletics & Activities
(MSAA)In the spring and fall, Housatonic Valley Regional High School (HVRHS) hosts middle school students from across the region in a series of sports teams, sessions at artgarage, various STEAM workshops, . . .. The offerings vary with the seasons but they focus on providing positive learning opportunities and uniting our students into a larger community.
The Middle School Athletics and Activities (MSAA) started in 2023, after COVID when it became clear our middle school students needed more social opportunities and interactions. The program fosters the development of leadership, teamwork, social skills, self-discipline, and integrity. The underlining principles of MSAA are to increase decision-making skills, good citizenship and sportsmanship, and the promotion of individual maturity. MSAA is student-centered and part of the educational experience Region One provides its students.
Contact Middle School Athletics and Activities Coordinator, Anne MacNeil if you have any questions – amacneil@region1schools.org.
Bus transportation is included for students from their home school to HVRHS and they return home on the HVRHS late bus.
MSAA is made possible by the Northwest Corner Fund of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.
