Youth Voices Count Survey Information
Last spring, in coordination with Emily Rosenthal of the Northwest Corner Prevention Network, all Region One schools administered the Youth Voices Count survey to all students grade 7-12. The Youth Voices Count Survey is a student climate and well-being survey that elevates student voice and provides insight into students’ experiences related to belonging, relationships, safety, engagement, and access to supports. The data help schools and the Region identify strengths, areas for growth, and inform targeted supports and continuous improvement efforts. The survey is not evaluative of individuals, but serves as a tool to guide data-informed decision-making and strengthen a whole-child approach to education. This survey is administered every 2 years. A multidisciplinary team of counselors, social workers, PE/Health teachers, and administrators from each school reviewed the Youth Voices Count data and developed a coordinated response plan.
