A Welcome Message from the Superintendent

Welcome to the Region One School District. Our districts are well known for the high quality educational experiences students participate in while attending our schools. Region One School District consists of six towns - Canaan, Cornwall, Kent, North Canaan, Salisbury and Sharon. Each town, under an autonomous board of education, maintains an elementary school that offers pre-kindergarten through grade eight educational programs. Housatonic Valley Regional High School serves grades nine through twelve for Region One, offering a comprehensive program of studies.

Working in collaboration with families and communities, Region One School District's goal is to enable students to develop their potential as effective citizens and lifetime learners.

2013/14 Draft Budget

The Region One 2013/14 Draft Budget can be found under the "Business Office" - "Regional Audits/Budgets" tab on the navigation bar. A hard copy can be obtained by contacting the central office at 860.824.0875. This budget will be presented at the public hearing at HVRHS on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Its approval will be determined in a region-wide referendum on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Town Hall in each town in Region One.
