On Wednesday, April 4, our Parent Group, which consists of ten members and administrators, met for the second time.  The majority of the meeting was spent discussing how the element of time impacts learning and how we assess and measure learning.  We spent much of our time discussing Grading Practices and the need for consistency.

We will have one more meeting on April 24, and then will plan to have the group's ideas and recommendations ready to present to the Leadership Team at the high school, which was just newly reconfigured.

Last week, the High School Leadership Team met with a consultant, Warren Logee, who will help facilitate the group as they work on a variety of issues, all focused on providing optimal educational opportunities for students.  This team has been expanded to include more teachers than we had in the previous year and it now is combined with the Department Chair members.  Our intent is to have on Lead Team that will be the core group to help the faculty address any issues that impact students and their learning.
