Dear Parents, Staff, Boards of Education, and Community Members,
On Tuesday, March 21, HVRHS is holding a Parent Partnership event.
We have invited representatives from four Connecticut schools, two representing Region 1 and two from Connecticut high schools outside of our region, to present on the topics of Mastery Based Learning/Personalized Learning, Grading Practices and Scheduling.
While Parent Partnership Meetings are generally for HVRHS parents, because of the topics that are relevant to everyone interested in our students’ learning, the meeting will also be open to elementary and middle school parents, teachers and staff, board members, and all community members who wish to learn about issues and trends in today’s educational systems.
The meeting will be held from 6:00-7:30 PM in Room 133 at Housatonic Valley Regional High School.
To honor our visiting presenters and provide them enough time to share information, we will have five minutes between presentations for questions related to their topics. If we find we need additional time for more questions, there is a follow up meeting planned for the next evening on Wednesday, March 22 at 6 PM in the High School.
Thank you for your interest and we hope that you will be able to attend and hear the experiences from other educators who are also dedicated to students and their best learning.
